It's getting interesting

Well, we're now incorporated, working on the next step of the process.  Waiting to see how God will meet our needs.  And we have an adress:  12451 Highway 26, Riverton, WY.  Of course, it's still only cactus, wheat grass and sagebrush.  We still have a long way to go before we're ready for kids.  Even before we're ready for the horses!  God is faithful, and He will direct our feet to the next step.

Lately, my stomach has been giving me trouble.  It first started one day out at Stormhaven.  Just a sudden overwhelming nausea.  It got better after a couple of days, then went away.  Then, I discovered this stress fracture in my foot.  I haven't been able to work with the horses or kids for a few weeks.  I miss them!  The nausea returned Sunday morning, along with a headache.  Then, today, as I was setting up the website, I felt very feverish, and nauseous.  Hmmm.??  I think someone doesn't like what we're doing here.  And we haven't even gotten started!  Please pray for the work God has planned in Wind River.  There is serious warfare going on, in more ways than I've mentioned here.  The enemy knows that God has plans for what he thinks is his territory.  Pray for us to be strong and courageous, like Joshua entering the promised land, we are entering territory that the enemy has claimed for a long time.  But God is so awesome!  It's His battle, and He will prevail!  Right now, I'm feeling pretty good.  Continue to pray for employment for us out in Riverton.  That's the main thing keeping us here in Kentucky.     And pray for our application for tax exempt status to go through.  And keep praising God for His amazing grace!

In His Grip,
Meaghan

All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Cor. 5:18

Crystal Peaks! Wow, what a beautiful place! What a tremendous blessing to be among God's people, hearing what He is doing with horses to reach the lost. It's great to have people to share the vision and the hope. Troy and Kim Meeder and the wonderful staff took such good care of us, I felt like we were at a retreat or vacation, rather than a training seminar. Thank you, Crystal Peaks staff!

Well, now that we've begun to digest the information gathered there, we have completed our incorporation papers and await the finalization. Then we begin the hard work of filing for tax exemption. Please pray that all goes well, and that we will be a able to complete the paperwork in a timely manner. Also for finances, as it costs $400 just to file for 501c3 status. We are still in need of a means of support (job), also. Please pray for that, too. And pray that God would prepare our children. Even though we don't have a timeline, we want to be ready to go as soon as God calls, and that can be very difficult for teenagers, for whom friends are very important.

I've also been voluntaring at Stormhaven Youth Ranch out in Shelbyville, getting some hands on training. Another great place! It's such a blessing to be able to participate in what God is doing, and we see God's work regularly at Stormhaven. I love to see kids caring for the horses and each other, as well as watching the beautiful young women, who volunteer, grow in the Lord. What a joy it is to be a part of God's redeeming work. And to see Him work in my heart and life just by taking part. Gaye and Mike are doing a great job of stewarding. I am so blessed to be able to learn from them. I shared at church a few weeks ago, how on the drive home one day, I realized how much of what God had saved me from, I had forgotten. It's been 24 years, and I've gotten so caught up in raising kids, and homeschooling and all the rest, that I had forgotten where I was when I said yes to God. And now He's using the very brokenness that was my life, to teach others about His amazing love. He's the ONLY ONE who can take a destroyed life, and not just fix it, but use the brokenness to bless others and glorify Himself!!! What an AMAZING GOD!!!
