Welcome!
Open Hand Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which encourages reconciliation between individuals and God by mentoring children in relationship and life skills using natural horsemanship to redeem rescued horses.
The mission God has given us is to minister to children in the Wind River Valley with horses. God desires to have a relationship with each of us, but we are all broken by sin and the effects of sin in this world that it can be very difficult to relate in an effective way to others. Sometimes, it's easier to build a relationship with an animal. So God has given us a vision to use horses to help people learn to build healthy relationships with each other, and most importantly, with Him. His desire for relationship with us drove Him to send His own Son so that we can begin to grasp His love for us!
At Open Hand Ranch, children partner with a mentor to participate in ranch chores, learn natural horsemanship, and play games, all the while learning healthy relationship and life skills that we pray will lead them ultimately into relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus.
